Readers use our guides to make decisions about money, documents and travel, so accuracy matters more than speed. This is how we work.
Research
We start with the official page of the relevant government, regulator or public body. We write only what that source states. If we cannot confirm a detail from an official source, we leave it out rather than guess.
Sources
Every guide ends with a list of the sources it relies on, so you can check the facts yourself.
Dates and updates
Each guide shows the month it was last updated. Rules change, so we review guides regularly and update them when official information changes.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, tell us through the Contact Us page with the official page that shows the correct information. We correct confirmed errors promptly and update the date on the guide.
Independence
Advertising does not influence what we write. Read our Advertising Disclosure.
What we do not do
We do not give personal legal, tax or immigration advice, and we do not write guides to promote a provider in return for payment.
